| Favorite Pool Hall: Backstage Billiards in Lake Buena Vista,
Fl, and Capone’s Billiards in Spring Hill, Fl where my sponsors also

 |
Quick Advice:
Don’t ever give up. Pool
is one of the most frustrating
sports but if you just stick with it the rewards are amazing. If you hit a brick wall ( which you will),
climb over it, don’t look back, and kick some booty!!

Favorite Saying:
If all
else fails
find the nearest bar! Just Kidding! Believe in yourself and the sky’s the
limit. |
 |
Favorite Pool Idol:
Ewa Laurance because she always has a
smile and words of encouragement. She
always carries herself in a professional manner and has been such an
asset to women’s billiards. |
 |
Has anyone helped you with her
game?
Over the years there have been a lot
of players who have showed me a thing or two to help with my game. There are too many to name each one but some
of the key people are Mike DeStefano, Adam Wheeler, and Charlie
Williams. |
 |
How did you start playing pool?
I picked it up recreationally in
college when I was 17 yrs old but didn’t start taking it seriously
until I was around 21 yrs old when I moved to Savannah,
Ga. I always had natural talent and when I quit
playing volleyball I decided to concentrate on pool.
My father used to play snooker at the
bowling alley and I would watch sometimes but wasn’t really interested
back then. We played a few games before he
passed away in 2003 and I always tried to let him win and I think he
tried to let me win so we ended up pretty even. I
wish he could’ve watched me play one of my tournaments so he could see
how I really played. |
 |
What draws you to the game?
Why do you love it so much? I’ve
always played sports and am very competitive. Growing
up I played all team sports so to play an individual sport is exciting. I don’t have to share any of the glory with
anybody! Well, except for my awesome
sponsors because I couldn’t do this without them! The
sport fascinates me and I want to learn as much as I possibly can.

What’s
something interesting folks
don’t know?
I’m not really as funny as people think I am! Yea
right!! I’m a riot! I’m
a pretty open person and there isn’t really anything too interesting
about me other than that I’m 6’4” tall which is evident just by looking
at me. My legs are real not implants. I guess one thing is that I am terrified of
swimming in the ocean. I respect the fact
that sharks and big fish with big teeth don’t come on my land so why do
I need to go in their’s.
|
 |
How
tall are
you?
I’ve already discussed that topic and refuse to answer it anymore. |
 |
Do you
think
being that tall has helped or hindered you playing pool?
I feel it is a
tremendous advantage when it comes to reaching a lot of shots and not
having to use the bridge as often as most but my back gets a little
sore after a long session. There are
definitely more pros than cons. |
 |
What other sports
have you played?
Basketball (duh), volleyball, track/field, badminton,
lawn darts, quarters (in which I am a master if anybody wants to
challenge me), and underwater basket weaving! (huh?) |

| You
have had
several nicknames, give us a few and what is your favorite? Here
we go! Shorty, slim, beanpole, legs,
stick, tree,
Lurch, Kareem Abdul Jabar, gigantor, gargantua, sasquatch, amazon, Big
Bird (when I wore yellow: don’t wear that color anymore because of
that: very traumatizing). You kinda get
the picture right? Most recently, and the
one I will probably keep is The Intimidator. I
don’t think I’m intimidating but apparently other people do. Chicken bleeps! |
